And in fact, I have no clue how to do something like that. It would need to be compiled into the map on the original compile.

Finally, I think I once read somewhere that multiplayer will only support 1 BSP in the map at a time.
True, about that 1st one.And true about multiplayer supporting 1 BSP at a time.Although Syperiums linking idea would work, there a was a similar attempt, using a biped to link the bsp's, something in the script in the biped made it link and made it css, someone did explain how it makes it css and working.This was done on coldsnap and hugeass ce multi maps and seems to be the only dual bsp multi maps (Night bsp/Day bsp).

Although I cant explain it well, if you look at the coldsnap and hugeass files you would see very clearly that it has 2 BSP's.Somewhere, there's a form of link that links b30_a and b30_b together or otherwise it would load to long or it would have to have two seperate files.

Id explain more about that biped thing but im to sleepy.

Yeah like when you play Halo on the Xbox in co-op mode. When one person hits a load point, the other person is teleported to that point. I'm assuming that's because the Xbox can't have two maps loaded at one time as well. Except with Halo demo multiplayer, it's on the internet so your computer doesn't have to have them both loaded. Hmm...

The .tgz compression actually made it quite a bit smaller than the .zip format. Thus, you should be getting a faster download XD

another thing on load points. you know the gold elite with the sword? if you manage to get through the door without unlocking it, you can make him dissapear. all u gotta do is meele him into the middle of the T section without killing him. he takes somme damage, stumbles back, stumbles again and dissapears. its gotta be something with the load point.

I don't see why you can't just make another load point. If people at Bungie can do it, I'm sure some of us here can do it.

Bloodgulch.map is gettin' so much feed back from almost every map in the maps folder. UI, Sound, Bitmap, and If I'm right, it's accually gettin' data from B30. So, all of the maps, are feeding bloodgulch data.

<a href="text.html">TEXT</a>. I this can some how be used in Halo Demo. Techinically, it already is being used. You just need to make another copy of it.

<html>
______<head>
____________<title>I know sword can mod this!</title>
____________<style type="text/css">
____________body {
__________________background-color: sword's-favorite color;
__________________margin-left: 10%;
__________________margin-right: 10%;
__________________border: As-thick-as-Beast's-Dick solid;
__________________padding: 10px 10px 10px 10px
__________________font-family: Beast's saying-Blow Me;
__________________}
____________</style>
________</head>
________<body>
____________<center><h2>You Know You Can Do It sword</h2>
<br>
<br>
____________<p>sword, like Beast said, you have too many Brain Cells. Use them and make a freakin' multiplayer map, with a load point. Haha.
<br>
<br>
____________<center><h2>sword's List Of Things To Do</h2></center>
<br>
<br>
____________<li>Listen to Syperium, and figure out some way to make a load point, in a multiplayer level.</li>
<br>
____________<li>Then, once that is done, let Syperium be the first person to beta it, because it was his idea.</li>
<br>
____________<li>Then, I'm of course goin' to have to hail Syperium, for his non-nincompoopery statments (statements that made sense, :lol: ).</li>
<br>
<br>
________</body>
</html>

Haha, feel free to paste that in a Plain Text, TextEdit document, and open it in your internet browser. You won't get any CSS. So, if you want CSS, erase:

__________________background-color: sword's-favorite color;
__________________margin-left: 10%;
__________________margin-right: 10%;
__________________border: As-thick-as-Beast's-Dick solid;
__________________padding: 10px 10px 10px 10px
__________________font-family: Beast's saying-Blow Me;

And over top of that, write this...

__________________background-color: green;
__________________margin-left: 10%;
__________________margin-right: 10%;
__________________border: 1px solid;
__________________padding: 10px 10px 10px 10px
__________________font-family: sans-serif;

That should do, ;).

Also, erase those lines that are there to show that the text is tabbed out. When I first submited this reply, it showed no tabs... so, that's why that is there.

ps. You know exactly why I took the time to write out a freakin' web page for you. It's because I'm tired as fuck, and I got school orientation tomorrow... As sword would say, BOO!.

Code: Select all

<halo map file>
<tag>sbsp</tag>
<struct>
<name>Why that won't work.</name>
<size>0</size>

<value>
<type>reflexive</type>
<offset>0xCF0</offset>
<name>Tools</name>
</value>

<value>
<type>string32</type>
<offset>0x00</offset>
<name>Developer Tools</name>
</value>
<value>
<type>string32</type>
<offset>0x04</offset>
<name>Thats how they made the single player triggers.</name>
</value>
<value>
<type>string32</type>
<offset>0x08</offset>
<name>So I can't do that with Demo.</name>
</value>
<value>
<type>string32</type>
<offset>0x0C</offset>
<name>You can't do that with hex without messing up the map.</name>
</value>

</struct>

</halo map file>
Or I could do it like this:

Code: Select all

//Well, lets see why it won't work.
#include "map_tool_names.h"
#include "bsp_defs.h"
#include "basic_types.h"

typedef struct STRUCT_BSP_TRIGGERS_DONT_WORK
{
   int id;               //file ID
   int Version; //not really needed, but I'm pretending I can code here!
   int Unknown1; //who the hell knows.
   char ToolNames[32];  //CE type tools - Tool.exe, Guerilla, etc.
   char NoMultiplayerBSPTriggers[32]; //multiplayer PC maps don't support 'em
   char BuildDate[32]; //The maps birthday!
   int whoKnows; //I have no clue how to code XD
   int Footer;   //penis
}BSP_TRIGGERS_DONT_WORK; /* something_t */
The sword.
