Perhaps, I'm not sure if the cold would dissipate like the heat does as the molecules would be moving slower.

The time of Star Wars will be much farther in the future therefore having technology to contain the plasma. Pew Pew Pew

yes, but it also take place in another universe/solar system i think. diffrent races/creatures create different ideas. i mean, they have ships that fly at warp speed!

What do you mean "time"? Time is based entirely on the supposed birth of the Messiah. There could have been sentient life with advanced technology on other planets before Earth even existed.

Lets not turn this into a religion argument?

Time was created during the big bang. This is a community full of nerds so arguing Religion > Science isn't going to get you anywhere.

That's precisely what I was not saying. >_> For a few reasons:

•Almost everyone's knowledge of what year it is is based on Jesus's supposed birth. Oh, blargh, it's the year 2010. Oh wait, no it's not. What about the BC years and before life had even evolved on Earth? Was Earth instantly created after the Big Bang? Did it just suddenly come into existence?

•I wasn't saying anything about time being created when Jesus was supposedly born.

Prototype is arguing that because something was before now means it was totally all not evolved/technologically advanced.

I only use the words supposedly/supposed is to make people not argue about religion which makes me annoyed.

From what I've heard from various shit, the universe is about 14 billion years old (I think it's older. Shortsighted scientists >_>). The Earth is supposed to be about 4.6 billion, and that time was probably way back before the big bang because something needed to trigger the sudden outburst of dark matter that keeps the universe expanding. If you hopped up into the like eighth dimension there would probably be more neighboring universes. Oh, and the square root of pi is approximately 1.2.

Eh, I haven't seen any real explanation of the science behind a lightsaber, but it's like the energy sword. Directed energy that somehow forms a solid that you can see... and...

Ah, fuck it. This discussion is worthless until lasers really become effective at all in the military.

Lazers are currently very effective in the military...

Same principal behind lightsabers. If it was light or heat based, we would not be able to see it unless there were a catalyst, to create a visual aid. Such as particles, or a mass of which to display it's effect onto. Such as a flashlight on a wall, or through dust. Or wind and leaves. You can't see it, but you can see the effects from it.
