Re: [RIP] Crazy Madness (Illegal Mod)
The macro finished its job with only two "fixable" mistakes. Now, I'm about halfway-through the other bitmaps that don't have + signs in them (the macro handled the ones with + signs). After some testing and tweaking, it'll be ready... later today, perhaps.
Again, if I give you the file, DO NOT GIVE IT TO ANYONE ELSE.
Thanks.

Re: [RIP] Crazy Madness (Illegal Mod)
Let's not hijack this topic (please). Crazy Madness is finished. It has not undergone extensive testing, so if you would like to have it, please also tell me if you find any bugs.
PM me for the link to the file. It is for modders only.

Re: [RIP] Crazy Madness (Illegal Mod)
Yea. It seems fine. Except the wraith explodes and dies the second you shoot it with anything. The lifepod refuses to move forward and rolls backwards, and then continues to roll.
Re: [RIP] Crazy Madness (Illegal Mod)
Wraith: Easily fixed, right? >_< Anyway, as I see it, this is like...a resource map.
Lifepod: Sounds like phys..or just plain speed. o.0

Both: Well I'm like, retarded or something, cause I can't seem to find out how.G[v]N wrote:Wraith: Easily fixed, right? >_< Anyway, as I see it, this is like...a resource map.
Lifepod: Sounds like phys..or just plain speed. o.0
Lifepod: I changed the acceleration, deceleration, and the velocity to 100. And it didn't work. This may or may not be related, but when I change the mp_cyborg bipd to fly, it appears to move forward, but really doesn't go anywhere. When I throw a nade down, it explodes and I fly backward, very slowly. O_O
Re: [RIP] Crazy Madness (Illegal Mod)
I only imported the files, I didn't fix them up. The only unusual changes I made were swapping the bloodsplat bitmaps with the duplicate ones.G[v]N wrote:Anyway, as I see it, this is like...a resource map.
This file isn't perfect, still. I didn't remember that the blinker effects were already in the map, so I'll come out with an updated version that fixes that and other small bitmap problems.
Did you guys see the Longsword? That texture looks so much cooler than the black and white checkered one from Import Island!
Although we can rip tags and bitmaps from Crazy Madness, I made it to be a further preview for demo. When I conceived of "Crazy Madness," I had the impression of being overwhelmed with my work, and I wanted to demonstrate what it would be like to completely abandon the routine copyright IP rules set forth in the EULA. I recognized that whoever was responsible for the EULA didn't fully consider the benefits to having a modding community that would keep their game popular by creating new maps and scenarios for it. I think we can assume that they realized this when CE was made. You'll notice, however, that the copyright license didn't change (as far as I know), so any "user-created content" would still technically be illegal. So I ask myself if they really want to keep the EULA for Mac users, and, after seeing how the Mac community was totally abandoned, I figured that it really didn't matter... but I still want to keep this a secret within our modding community, so I would like to be the only one "distributing" this mod. In case it does get out, the layman wouldn't realize its potential unless they knew how to mod. Thus...
¡Crazy Madness!
