I have also done some work with 3D rendering, but because Im too lazy to complete models, the most I get to do is fluid and soft body simulations in Blender. They freaking awesome, however, and make up for the lack of discipline required to finish and correctly pose models. Although I have both skins ad models for both sparts, as well as numerous other halo models and skins, and have put them into blender, I have never had the time to learn how to and actually rig them. The most complex self-done animation I will have made will be the intro screen for Plasma Punch Productions, a machinima group consisting of me and a friend. It was a picture that gave me the idea for the name when he sent me his only profile picture, him meleeing with a plasma pistol. Nonetheless, it looked pretty sweet, so we came up with the name of our future group.

Ill string all my tests together and slap it onto youtube for you guys. Its nothing special, but some of them arent bad.

Just thought you ought to know.

EDIT: Done! Not too shabby when watched with high quality. Also, in mind that I just started again and I have little patience when making 3D stuff...

Who doesnt like liquid simulations? They are easy and have extremely pleasing results in high resolution (makes up for the long render/bake times). Plus you can do weird stuff with it. My next project is to make some sort of vibrating liquid, like this:

Thats where I got the idea from too.

Just thought you ought to know.

hey jacob, i've noticed with your work, which is actually pretty good for someone who's fairly new, doesnt have correct shading/shadows, if you could get those implemented, with some dynamic lighting, i think you could make it a little bit better :)
good job though.

PS keep it up, the more you do it, the better you'll get.
