Photoshop question.
Photoshop question.
Okay, I am a PS noob. I have no idea how to use it. I was wondering how you cut something out of a picture without the rough edges. Like when I do it with quick select then it has these weird un-pro looking edges. Is there a slow- select with pro-looking edges? Help meh!

Re: Photoshop question.
At the top left of the screen should be some gradient things. You are looking for one that is exactly as you described. It is a black dot that moves outward to white. There is also one that is reversed (not point because you could just switch background/foreground colors anyway...) Hope this helps. If not, I post pic.
On your first question, if you are using CS2 (maybe) or CS3 (definently), you can go to filters>extract. Select around what you want and then fill in the area. You can also trace and use the auto detect which gives a fairly good edge estimate. The best way to do it is by hand, though. Unless you have a render (a white/black/green background with only the subject in it and nothing else. Google it)
Just thought you ought to know.
