I made an Icon w/ img2icns but how do I give it to a program or file?

OK you right-click the icon and click get info, do the same thing to the file that you want to change the icon of. Then you should see at the very top of the thing, right above spotlight comments, the icon of the icon you made, it is not the Preview. If you look, it will be there:

Click it and hit command C. Then click the same thing in the file you want to change the icon of and hit command V. Done!
