I think you RSD'ers should play FORTRESS more.

Post by |ÅK|*Rapid* » Fri Sep 05, 2003 2:12 pm

Ok, when I was playing RSD only, about 2 years ago, I really enjoyed the map "Fortress" the best. It had cqb and sniping all in one. It's a great map that I don't see enough people hosting any more. The map is available for full version as well, but not a lot of people play it there neither. I think this map should ALWAYS be played. Some claim it's a lil big, but it really isn't. Especially since games are never longer than 5 minutes. (Some of you might have heard of the 6 hour CB's in GhR. ouch! :o )

And while on the subject, what are your favorite RSD maps?

I like Bunkers Under Fire also! ;)

The reason Fortress isn't played as much as it once was is many people only like playing no crossing Fortress. Bunkers is good but when RSD was more popular it was played too much. I'm more into the lesser played maps now.

I don't really have a favorite map. I just got board with everyone having and playing the met, bunkers, and so forth. The less played maps that I like at the moment are the egyptian maps (Egypt II and Lurking Jackal) and Tm08 Light House. The map depends on the amount of people playing.
If alot of people are playing Siberian Snow Field is cool, gives people sniping and a chance for some close quarter sneak attacks. Besides all of this I usually like playing the newest map I add to my site.

Which reminds me, when I did play fun RSD games in 2003(being that I don't play that much, if at all), they were in your host Monoman ;)

Maybe you can make it a habit to host more, with cool maps :D

The problem is that most people don't have any of the good maps. I hosted for awhile yesterday and the room was full. By the time we started there was only 3 of us that had the map. Everything comes back to noobs not wanting to play or d/l other maps besides The Met.

Hmm...the best all around team/adv/coop map is Sib base 1. Best dedicated CQB, Bootcamp. Sniping, Watchers Wood. Coop, Oil Tanker.

Forgotten Base! That map OWNS ALL!

Post by |ÅK|*Rapid* » Sat Sep 13, 2003 3:05 pm

l0l! Looks like pie assured that allright!

Also, Forgotten Base! That map owns! I don't know if it has same name for you guys. It's a snowy map, with an underground and 2 buildings with a dry river between the both. Really sweet map! 8)

Yea, the demo has The Forgotten Base. The best battles are when both teams start inside the base.

the td bombing training map was sweet! Nice and small for close quarter gun fights. but like mono said, it does have a lot of doors.
lol, i also fell off the top off the building.
