How 2 Retexturing Maps ->>> By DarkRaver + Poll ( •

Post by DarkRaverNL » Mon Jul 05, 2004 9:52 am

How to retexture maps:

Things u need;
- RSB Converter. ( can be dled on monomans site)
- Graphic Converter. ( can be dled on monomans site)
- + a other program to colour at pics ( i used Adobe Photodeluxe™2.5)

How to:
- Drag an .rsb file from a Map like 'dust' onto the RSB converter, now it changes into an .pic file.
- Open the file with the Graphic converter.
- Now;
- A. U can change the picture in Graphic Converter, and save it right away.
- B. Change the picture in an other program BUT!> be sure the pixel and the dpi are the same: Image
and then (the best way) copy that image and past it into a new Graphic Converter ( apple(cmnd)+n(new )or "File" "New> Image"and then save it withe the same name [ If u doe it in a other program be sure u save or export it as an PIC file ]
- Drag the .pic files on the RSB converter and now u have .rsb files again, place those into the "dust" (or other map, where u picked the files from) and u can play, even with ppl who dont have these files!! LOL

Thats it. LOL :P

if u have any (more) questions plz Reply at this message, THNX

thats one way to do it. i do it a little different, instead of making a new one the same size etc etc etc, i just use the one thats already there and make my picture fit it how i want it. i find my method to be a LOT faster and less complicated when your retexturing 30-40 things at once. =D
I can't get enough of Gargoyles.
