When I try to run haloceupdate.exe it says I need admin privileges. Can someone help? Thanks.

Get admin privileges. Your probably not the admin on your comp. Go into System Preferences and choose accounts. There will be 1 admin account and a guest one. If there's another one, and it's your account, and it's not admin, then you can't.

Replied to your PM. Did you ever check the admin stuff?

Wait! Imma firin mah solutionzalol!

I already have Parallels for Mac. Would that be sufficient to run Halo CE?
I hope I don't have to regret several hours of trying to convince my friend who had no use for Parallels to give it to me.

This is why CE content isn't really free. You have to have a valid Halo PC cd-key to get CE.

Also, so everyone knows:
Go to the Halo Demo Mods Wiki, and go to the Halo Full file area. Get the Halo Custom Edition file package, and drop that into any form of Windows running application you have (Basically, place it into your Program Files area on the Windows Local Disk)
Then, install Halo using files from the first post onto your Windows files.
Take some form of memory eraser and erase your memory of needing to or ever installing that version of Halo (Oh, you know what I mean; at this point, you no longer need to worry about it)
Now, you can run the version of Halo inside the Program Files area if you don't have a CD.

I hope that made sense to somebody here. I might have made an epic fail of a post..
