Mac Gaming Mods

I have a 2009 Macbook pro and when i try to locate the halo universe app in the halo mac updater, the updater just freezes and i can't update halo to 2.0.4.
any suggestions on why this is happening?

also, I need this because i have mavericks and halo runs really slow.

So someone else is having the same problem as I am. Mid 2011 iMac with Mavericks. As soon as the servers were updated, Halo runs like molasses. All recent updates applied with no effect. I can see servers in the Lobby, so I can see the games that aren't currently playable...
