I am no longer active to Halo or MGM, and don't guarantee a response on the forums or through email. I will however linger around the discord room for general chatting. It's been fun!

This is what we have right now.
Re: Halo Demo Intel Multiplayer
I uploaded a new version that is a .zip file. I moved the file to "Halo Demo UB" so that we can continue to update it. The previous names weren't very inclusive, since you can play the campaign and calling it "Multiplayer" therefore does not really give credit to this. The original links will redirect to the new filename.
Anyway, shouldn't we make a note in the readme file that you need to play the UB as Halo Full in GameRanger?

What I do when I come across a .pkg is I open up the package (since .pkg's are essentially folders) and extract the archive that's in it onto my desktop.nil wrote:Never use installers (or packages). They are evil. If you are using them, you are doing wrong. It is certainly not the OS X way. There are very rare circumstances where they are appropriate and this isn't one of them.

The .pax.gz or whatever? Yeah I did that when flat packages didn't exist and I wasn't admin on my computer.

Re: Halo Demo Intel Multiplayer
I'm sorry, but what's the point of even making this? It's just as illegal as pirating the game. Actually, it's more illegal, since we're modifying the game without permission. So this is more illegal than pirating the game, and you get less (like literally 1/50) out of it. Sorry if my question is really dumb, I have a cold and Sparky says it's past my bed-time.

By laws it is technically more illegal, by morals it is stealing less.

Seriously, guys! Think, if we just let everyone have the full version, imagine how much further we'll be able to expand modding! Literally OVER TEN times more things to make, more content to use, everyone wins. And come on, who's gonna get guilt-sick over this. It'll be so much better, and with so much more content to work with, why, this could be a whole new era for Mac Gaming Mods!

Legality has always been a matter of controversy and the way it's been dealt with for many years now is MGM does not sponsor anything illegal, but discussion of doing illegal things on this forum is acceptable-- Mono lets us get away with that as long as he isn't associated with the legal issues in question.

Re: Halo Demo Intel Multiplayer
To all the newer MGM members interested in Halo and Halo Demo, I suggest reading the topics from a while back discussing legal issues and see how they were resolved.

Re: Halo Demo Intel Multiplayer
Bitch please. I've read those topics, and since we're creating this mod in the first place means we've thrown that stuff out the window. So I'm saying we should make it easier for everyone and add some spark back into modding. Mgal and I were discussing how Halo modding is already dead, and that MAYBE with Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary and releasing Halo Full we may have a chance.

I said it didn't have a chance, you still think of it as a viable possibility.
