Darren, in an e-mail sent to Sparky, wrote:Hi,

Can you please give me the status on what is going on with the multiplayer for
Halo Demo. I am on Lion and I have been waiting 4 months for this. Please let me
know what is going on because if there is not a fix for it, I need to downgrade.
Can you at least set up some Direct IP servers so we can use those while we wait
for the full multiplayer fix. Thank you!

Best regards,

Darren
I'll link him to this post.

Updated.
People who have registered and logged into the wiki are able to edit the main page and other protected pages.

Also, Teh Pillar, what have we said about uploading files with two extensions? (Hint: UT OH!!! Don't do dat!)
I'll fix.

EDIT: WTF your .pkg does absolutely nothing except change the modification date of the installation location and of the actual Halo Full UB that I have. WHAT DID YOU DO HERE?!? And there is no "read me" file or any installation instructions. I see nothing here...

That was a safety thing, I didn't want people to think I lied about it being a package. I wanted to direct upload the package, but its not flat so it showed the contents like a folder.

So... WTF? See edit above.

The read me is in the package, when it is run. For some reason with packagemaker, if a copy of halo is found, it does something to that copy. I found something in packagemaker that should fix the problem, so I will upload that when I have the time.
edit: WTF! it looks like it also deletes all my damn read me file shit. I rewrote it as a text file...
I'll upload overnight, fixed everything I think. I need some sleep though...

Never use installers (or packages). They are evil. If you are using them, you are doing wrong. It is certainly not the OS X way. There are very rare circumstances where they are appropriate and this isn't one of them.

I'll remember that. But I did fix the problem with the modify date thing.

It would be just as good as a zip, probably better.
