Skinning?

im wondering about the easiest way to skin. the last time i did it i had to go right into the hex and inject alot of stuff and it took an hour. Bloot has made a really cool skin, im wondering how he did that. I am also trying too make a spiderman mod with high jumping and wall walking and a skin would help the process.

Heh, ander knows how to switch on walk-on-walls...pretty much everyone does now :/...

The problem I've found with walking on walls, is that you have to give other people the mod - after a while of wall-walking, that player will appear to be "flying"

Most players get freaked out and leave, and it just messes up the game unless all clients have the mod as well. Same goes for high-jumping. It will appear *very* glitchy. I had someone else host a high-jumping mod, just to see how it felt to be a client, and it wasn't good at all.

Also, I know how to change / edit skins ^.^...but like most people here, I am not willing to give my knowledge for free...

heh yea ive had the "flying" people in my game before and i had NA leader host a game to see how being a client felt...

Simple.
Change the first 800 bytes of bloodgulch.map to the first 800 bytes of the full version of bloodgulch.map. (Make a back-up! Duh.)
Open bloodgulch.map (your new demo-to-full map) in HMT Mac (yes, that's right).
Note: bloodgulch must be in the same folder as bitmaps.map or else HMT will give you an error.
Click on the arrow thing beside the bitm tag. ( [>] | bitm | Bitmaps)
Click on a bitmap. The thing on the bottom will change. Click on Preview.
Export and Inject the skins!
(Note: To export and import .dds files, click on Inject Texture and/or/whatever Export Texture)
(Note: HMT crashes when you inject a file other than a .dds file. Don't force quit it or anything! Just wait until it gives you an error and says it must quit. The skin is now applied.)

Be sure to change back to your original bloodgulch.map or else Halo will crash or something.

Proof! (Sort of..) (Like my bad graphics? This is why I usually use my dad's laptop instead.)

Haha, skinning I can do now! Here's something I made for an "Oddball" game I guess. I think it turned out pretty okay. The skull can be found on the hood, the tires, and a tiny one on the seat! And yes, it's supposed to have reddish tint. :D

No, but you can change the demo map to look like the full so HMT can read it. :D

the inject and export is found in H M T
you will be injecting and exporting I M A G E S
when you click on inject texture or export texture it will using D D S - I M A G E - F I L E S
wings3d is not needed unless you edit M O D 2 - T A G S
Halo Demo will CRASH if you load the FULL VERSION OF BLOODGULCH
HMT will NOT crash if you load the FULL VERSION OF BLOODGULCH

i don't understand why it's not clear enough already...

oh, i would like that skin please. put it up for download in this forum
