I remember someone got close. They made themselves a vehicle, and it had 3rd person. But, it never got released or never worked fully.

Yes, I can imagine how many bugs would be in that. It would be a really sloppy mod to. I like playing as a warthog though it is friekin awesome. That was fun yummy. Haha. Hey tonight does a couple people want to play my "Play as a Warthog" mod? I want to have a server with that. Haha.

I got very, very close one time. It never worked out though, because at a certain point, the amount of camera edges returned... so, I wasn't able to slide it back past the head of the Spartan. It was like... a fraction of a decimal... that's how small the edit had to be before it leveled back.

I'm sure Halo CE has a camera tag, that you can import into Halo. I'm about to start a project with one of my other "collegues" on "making" tags. Accually going into Hex, and seeing the diffences between the tags... and writing our own. My collegue goes by the name of Achronos.

ps. Me and him got bloodgulch into .obj format (well... I did), and we're going to completely, remodel bloodgulch. (He'll do the modeling) Also, figuring out some way to edit the collision model... or even make our own... :).

Its a series of memory hacks.
Care to explain a tad more thoroughly, or are you just as lost as the rest of us? What are these "memory hacks?" I remember L0cke did them in the Halo h4x videos.

Yeah I talked to my old old old [A27] hacking friend "Bobshandel" (his h4xx0r pen name).

Look below I'm in [A27]

:D

Well, yeah, I asked him a long while ago and he told me it had to do with memory hacks so I wanted to prove him wrong so I posted this.

I guess the l33t h4xx0r was right.

By the way, he knows how to buy anything on any site (except eBay) for 1 cent!

LOL!

Hmm...this person managed a semi-third person hack using the program The Cheat. Here's the link to the page. No DL so far.

Clicky.

I remember The Cheat program. It has been awhile since I've heard it though.

Here's a universal binary for those on Intel Macs.

The Cheat 1.2.1 Universal Binary
Note for Intel mac users:
Due to new security restrictions on Intel macs, you will need to run the following command in Terminal (/Applications/Utilities/) for The Cheat to work:

Code: Select all

sudo sysctl -w kern.tfp.policy=1

To reset to normal use:

Code: Select all

sudo sysctl -w kern.tfp.policy=1
I got that off the topic that >Shadow< posted a link to.

FTW! TY BEAST! I had that program, and boom, i got my intel, it didn't work.

Damn. So, I am trying to modify amount of kills: I am hosting...I select 32-bit integer, select halo demo as my target. Then, i search for (the amount of kills i have). Then, I kill someone, search again for my kills...and it crashes. WTF! :'(

Yeah, I had it randomly crash on me a few times. Just open it again and keep trying. It will work eventually. It helps if you don't mess with Halo while it's searching.

Oh and join my server if you wanna see something cool. :)

Shya. I believe I've created the first Halo Demo speed hack for Mac... Too bad it only works while you are the host. There's no way it would work otherwise though, considering that all information is held server side, unlike CounterStrike where people can just speed themselves up in any server.
