in a sense its true, the map itself is a much larger 3d object than the others found within it... its the programming that governs what it can and cant do... which stays the same regardless of the model...
so... with that known... do you think it would be possible to extract the actual Bloodgulch map itself... just the terrain, as a 3d object that could be edited in wings 3d??
support and rebuttals ppl.. what do you think?

You could, just like any other model... it's a large model though (i think)
this still wouldn't modify the collision model.
