I can see why you wouldn't be able to, but then again, that's what they said about projectiles.

Projectiles can be, its just a little tricky.
Bitmaps are user-loaded.

Ya, all the bitmaps are(I think) defined in the bitmaps.map file. I think..
Correct me if I'm wrong on this.

Well, how did Ander make his BlueWorld mod or whatever it was? Y'know, the one with the blue Warthogs.

Oh, um, I was just wondering how Ander made the hogs blue in his mod without using the bitmaps file.
As for your question about the blue planet, it's one of the "sky" bitmaps. I'm not sure of its exact name but there's only like 5 so it shouldn't be too hard to find.

He just swapped what bitmap the hog used in the map file. You only need the bitmap file if you are actually editing the bitmaps contained within, not if you are just swapping existing bitmaps inside the map.

As far as I know he just extracted the bitmaps of vehicles, etc, then turned them blue or whatever in photoshop, then re-injected them.

But then how would it have been transfered in the bloodgulch.map file and not the bitmaps file?

It was just a shader swap! it wasnt a bitmap file.
