For all those people that just can't seem to host no matter what.
Monoman if this works for other people can you sticky it please?
First Go to Network in System Preferences:
Then go to Advanced
Then go to ICP/IP tab and remember
YOUR NUMBER
Open up halo demo holding the Apple/Command Button.
Imput number and you should be able to host!
PS. Make sure you have firewall of in Security ¬_¬

OK! Instead of letting all connections in, just let Halo Demo through. ¬_¬ And for the people that said for the screen at the beginning of Halo to never come up again, just hold down command k when it starts up.
EDIT: Oh yeah... You hold down K when you want to re-enter your serial number for full. <_<
DOUBLEDIT: And it doesn't work for me anyway. >_>

It's the ports. It's nearly always the ports.

I was told it would work if you just allowed access to Halo Demo in the firewall settings.
But if you are using DSL or a router, you might need to open the two specific port numbers. There's usually a setting you can modify in your browser by going to a specific url like 198.0.0.1.

yeah you have to do portforwarding, its the same concept for port forwarding for torrents just change the thing to Halo.
