Yes, actually, my advice is for you to play Campaign til you beat it on Legendary (I know generals who haven't done this yet) then play Custom games to get good with weapons, then play social right after basic training. Then you can get good in social, once you are like a captain in most social playlists, start ranked. Play double EXP whenever possible, as you can get more EXP than games
