single player maps

i don't get it. I download maps for singleplayer but i cant get them to work.
such as this map folder has a .txt folder in it and it says : This is an actual sp map to load put in your halo ce folder and when you get to the ui bring up console and type (without quotes) "map_name desertplat" then it will load.
What the heck does that mean?

Im Halo Demo only Bloodgulch.map and B30.map work, its a demo.

Halo CE (custom addition) lets you play new multiplayer maps that show up when you choosing a map (like in demo it says choose map and you have to choose bloodgulch) But it wont display SP map so you have to load the console by pressing ~ and type that in to load the map.

basically, get halo custom edition and you can play. btw. do they even sell halo full anymore?

wow guys, he is totally right...I can really play Halo CE camplain maps on my Halo Demo you change the name to b30.map and it works no problem.
little voice: what about the map header, and scripting, and other stuff like that?
bah that does not matter at all. rename the file works 1000% of the time.
