is it possible to make a new map with google's sketch-up

google scketch up is a program used to make gaming maps and arcitects use to design stuff nd right now im making a map that i could possibly use in halo i just need to find out how

Sure you can make a map design. You'll just have to use CE to get it into a halo mapfile. And you'll either have to buy the full version of sketchup (which btw, google didn't develop just bought) or search for a converter because the model format is not supported.

There's more to map making than u think, unless you know these concepts of map making. Alt explained the basic concept on how to import it, by using CE.

You need to learn how to plane model, UV, texture; bumpmapping both real and fake, place spawn points, put gametypes, weapon placement, and tagging. The starting file must start out as a obj and then you have to tag it in order to make it a bsp.

You would need tools HEK, Gurilla, Sapien and a model program like 3ds Max or Gmax if you cant afford 3ds. This is all from windows tho. Mac doesnt support have those tools and doesn't have CE.
