Dual Weilding

dual weilding would be a tight mod im still thinking on how we would do this

we could probobly all work together on this

Well it isn't really it. It's from Halo CE and you have to pick them up as a set.

True dual weilding isn't possible with the halo engine. However...

you might be able to use some of the tags here (if you're sword...or god...they're kinda inter-changeable)

i know about swords dual wield mod but I was thinking we could make it so you could wield combinations like the pistol and needler together

I think that would require writing scripts for Halo. (Correct me if I'm wrong.) I don't think that is an easy task to do.

I have looked into the plugins on sword's Modding Pack and in the weapon file there are tags such as "secondary fire overrids nades" and "secondary fire loads from alternate [there is also one that says same] source than primary", "prevents meele" (personally, I wanna see meele with 2 weapons in Halo 3. wouldnt it be cool?), and other stuff suggesting that it is possible... the overriding is for vehicles and the secondary reload is for PP, most likely. The problem is, some of these dont work because they were written for trial. But they should work for Mac! Why dont they? Got an idea as to why, sword, or must I ask the creator (who was it again?).

I've always thought that Sword's mods with duals were pretty interesting.

Actually scripting is pretty easy but the halo engine limits of what you can do.The dual feature is hard coded in halo 2, and nearly impossible to get get it for halo 1.To do a dirty version is pretty simple considering the case.

The "dual" weapons are considered one weapon in ce because it was two weapons combined from 3ds max program or some other game modeling prog.You can't drop one weapon down and get another to dual wield with.

Like you have 2 smgs, you try to drop one but instead you drop both of them because they are only 1 weapon.

dual energy swords is what id like to see in the demo and halo 3


maybe some more intricacies to the swordfighting and meleeing

No. Even better. Dual Jackal sheilds. Booyah! Imagine running through a firefight with two sheilds on each side while crouch-running. You cant be hit except for front and back!

Oh boy, oh boy! I can't wait! It's gonne be so festive! Turkey, mashed 'taters, gravy, stuffing, oh so many wonderous delights! Not to mention chocolates and assorted beverages (if you know what I mean. ;)). All of that and a 24 hour Island v2.0 server (I hope).
