For some reason Wings 3d is not letting me import my .OBJ file! maybe im doing the process wrong. I did all the stuff with OBJconvertor. im not asking for a tutorial on how to import models, I just want to know why Wings 3D wont open the file.

I've never bothered with models or ever wanted to for that matter.

Yeah, well when I did models, I had the same problem as BZ, and still do.

make sure you are selecting import obj. not just the open selection.

I used the tutorial that everone else used. It said it would import the model at the end, but it did nothing.

That is because you have to do something in Hex at the end.

XD Oh yeahh!!!

Syp said that a while back.

Well this sucks for me.

Now I need to find out where that hex is.

I'll give you two hints... It'll be (I think) in the *Tag Counts* location in the header, and... it's in the header..

I'm just gettin' this glitch all-of-the-time when-ever I import a new model.

(I wouldn't mind if someone gave me a detailed tut on how to import a correct model, and maybe send me a correct model. Looking at it right now, it seems as though my entire model pack, doesn't have any correct models.)

I'll get my break eventually.

I wish someone would tell the secret to importing models into the demo, but i guess that would wreck the the enormous fun of beating the hell out of your computer, wouldnt it.

I have no idea... I'm sure if I know what that means either... Hmm... why don't you post a link to a "triangulated" model, and I'll try and import it...

Thanks if your curtiousness proceeds.

A. Mods are easy to install! :D

B. Halo supports models that are made purely out of triangles. Anything else and it will look all messed up. I think that is what it means.

yeah in wings3D there is a thing you can select that triangulates your model.
