In a new b30 mod I was working on, I was wondering how to:
disable explosives setting other grenades off?
change the explosion effe of the grenades being set off by other explosives? (i found out that the explosion effe of a grenade you throw is different from the explosion effe of a grenade that is set off)
prevent Halo from freezing after I die (it gets annoying that my Halo freezes after I die, maybe it's because the map file is 200 MB+?)
Anyways, any help is appreciated!

for disabling blowing eachother:
go to the JPT of the nade/explosive
go to bitmaks16s
damage.Flags
uncheck detonates explosives (sparkys plugins)
i leave the others to others.

Hmm. For the freezing... 200 mb?! O_O
Is that like AID's Tier 0 or his Databank Facility where after you die, you can't spawn unless you restart (if host) or if you leave and rejoin (client)? Or does Halo freeze up completely and freezes your computer?

Oh, should've been more specific, my bad. So, after I die and respawn. Once I walk to the next wave of covenant it just freezes. Like, if I die during the part right after I get the warthog, I get sent back to the part when the pelican flies in and drops the warthog. Then when I go back to the same checkpoint where I died, halo freezes. Hope that helps

Maps tend to bug out when the filesize is over 150mb or so.

Good idea Divine. Or at least delete all the tags that you didn't use to save space and to prevent lag for clients. Ouch 200mb... your swordedit must love you. >_<
Freezing: I think Jingle Hells is right. It might be a corrupted death effect. Also maybe something in your checkpoints (in your Halo) is corrupted? Try dying somewhere else and see if its the same problem. If not, try another b30 map. If the problem still persists, I think something big is f%$#@& with your Halo Game.

I also have a problem with your B30 Mods.
They thend to Crash halo at random points.
maybe thats also a reason with the overboard tags.

i dont get it, i throw all the huge tags into a b30 map, and the higest ive ever gone was 900 megs(doesnt work but....).
anyway, If you are going to rip, rip good small tags.

the maximum number of tags you can have in a map is 1750, about. I forgot. I do remember posting an extensive topic on that in this forum, but it's generally the number of tags and shaders and models and other resources that are ACTIVE within the scenario (scnr) tag that will make it lag to a standstill or crash. Filesize itself means very little, unless the resources are being set to memory. You mentioned AI, and the actor varient (actv) tag has one of the highest number of references, such as character voice sounds and related weapons and resources.
