Jet of Flame?

I know the flamethrower uses effects to create the jet of flame but I was wondering if I could possible add that effect to a vehicle gun? When I use a basic swap of the vehicle weapon tag to a flamethrower, the ability to fire on the vehicle disappears. Also if I swap the projectile of the vehicle gun the flame only shows up at the location of where I fired and there is no jet of flame. Is it possible to create like a shee that shoots flame and the jet of fire is actually visible?

Not without CE i thinks, but i have seen a Warthog with a flamethrower for the gun in CE before.

OR the alternitive (no CE): make A civi-hog then just have a person hold a flame. n_n

I'm going for a shee that sprays flame. >.<
I know about the little flag that says:

"Use MC weapons" (I think its in the vehicle)

but that would kind of defeat the purpose...

Probably have to do that. Oh well, while I wait for one to spot this topic, I'm going to mess around with flamethrower tags to check if its any of them.

I think you need to swap the projectile and firing effects. I remember trying a while ago, I could never get it right.

I already swapped proj. I'm messing around with the firing effects right now.

[EDIT] I think it might be the (pctl) defoliant tags... not sure though. Could also be an effe tag...

[EDIT2] I just finished trying ALL the flamethrower effect tags into the shee. They don't work. >.<

It's not only the firing effects.
I think it has to do with the attachments. If you'd go to the flamethrower tag and look in the reflectives you would find that there are a lot of attachments, 10 of them, i think.
And when you look at the banshee weapon, there isn't even one attachment.
And simply swapping the banshee weapon with the flamethrower doesn't work either, weapon doesn't even fire...

Therefor, i think you should focus on finding out how to insert attachments into a tag, or you could figure out how to make vehicles operate normal weapons.

Yeah, I noticed the amount of tags for the flamethrower. >.>
Probably best thing to do is to find a way so the banshee can use the flamethrower (maybe some tags or flags?)

[EDIT] Changing all of the flamethrower's values to match the banshee gun's only crashes Halo... Could be a couple values or could be just one...

Very cool thing to do (has been done before of course, but cool nonetheless): Swap the banshee antigravity particles for flamethrower or some other particles. Then fly low over the ground. Good example of this is my banshee thing in my Anthology mod.

Hmm, I will try that. Thanks KiRby. Still don't know how to make the jet of flame? I remember someone doing the jet of flame with the LAAG hog turret but I don't know which mod that was...

You sure you didn't glance at it somewhere in another Modding section? Such as Covenant Armada Modding Team?
Because..

Yes, obviously it needs to be fined tuned, but i gave it up long ago in place for a laser hog. The effects of fire were too glitch.
Mess with the particle effects or effects of the firing effect. The fire in the topic picture above was just the fire effect (burning, if i'm not wrong).
Since you cannot see the flame being shot out, i improvised and used particles. i'm sure someone could improve it if I can find that map.
