How about having an application that parses all the sound data in the sounds.map file and can play and extract the sounds in bulk?
Zeus will be able to do this, but I'm thinking it can be done in a separate application, in case anyone is interested in working on this themselves. Eschaton can already export permutations.

Either you are groping for answers, or you are asking God and listening to Jesus.
Re: Sounds.map Player and Extractor
would've been more appropriate to put this in the zeus thread.
Anyway, yeah i think it'd be cool, Importing is what i'm interested in, and the one thats released just breaks my maps or won't run :/

Re: Sounds.map Player and Extractor
Jon made a terminal application awhile back that did this for both the bitmaps.map and sounds.map. It did not read other map files, it decompiled the two resource maps into files and folders. I still have the source code if you're interested.
Re: Sounds.map Player and Extractor
O.O so it basically makes 2 folders with all the bitmaps and all the sounds?
Does want.
