On Hexeditor, if you have swapped and "allow editting" checked, you can not save it, it is already changed. Lets say you checked "swapped" and "allow editing" like you should (hint hint), you changed the speed of a projectile. If you have those things checked, once you change it and press enter, it has alrady been changed, and if you did it right, it will be changed. Does this help you??

If you are using HexEditor, it always says that, no matter what. Don't worry, it saved.

If you are using HexEdit, then the map file is in use by something else and you have "Make Backups" turned off.

Thats if you have "Allow Editing" checked. It may save automatically without it checked, but it always saves with it checked.

No I'm saying, if you tell it to save with either File > Save or pushing Command (Apple) + S, you get an error that it couldn't save the file even though it actually did.
