[Request] Model Editing Tutorial

Post by GZ » Wed Sep 06, 2006 4:01 pm

2 Questions:

1. Does anyone have a link to a tutorail explaining the correct way to edit models in the demo? I need to edit the grenade to look like a snowball.

2. Is their a way to add a flamming contrail to my 'snowball'...?

please answer with more then a "Yes"

thanks.

Yes.

i dont know how to completely edit models, so get someone else.

the grenade should have its own contrail, so if you replace that with the feul rod contrail, you get green flames. or you could try giving it a flame contrail (i dont know if there is one). if there isnt, re-color the green flames red with a simple skinning tut by syperium and a basic paint program.

the tut is in one of the first topics labeled tutorials. its incredibly easy to find. its a sticky. its by syperium. that should be all the info u need.

I gave the frag grenade a sniper contrail once. It leaves a cool little arch in the sky, tracing where it went.

that sounds pretty cool. its fun how everyone has lots of little mods that are just small tests.

for example, i have a mod that says "Dance to enter warthog". its a string test, obviously...

all of the modeling tutorials are totally correct except for they leave out the final step.
