Mac Gaming Mods

Hellspawn's new mod, "Hell Gulch" has spurred some controversy among many people in this forum, and I think it's really pointless. I believe the point of modding is to try to appeal to as big of an audience as possible with your mods, which is why I take the time and effort to make quality mods that I would myself like to play on. This doesn't mean, however, that a good mod can be efficiently made with simple hex swaps!

I do think it is wrong that Hellspawn didn't give credit to Monoman for using his infinite ammo mod as the base for HELLGULCH, but I think it's just stupid that you are all flaming him just because you do not like his mod. So what if you don't like his mod? I'm sure some people don't like my mods either. I have met a few people who were disappointed by forest and my old space mod, but they calmly told me that and moved on, instead of trying to remove it from the face of the earth.

And what exactly do you classify as a noob? Someone who is new at halo? Someone who doesn't know a lot about modding? Or someone who enjoys larger explosions, more action, and cheaper victories? If so, what's wrong with being like that? You're treating these people like they're third class. If you don't want to play with them, ignore their servers, don't use their mods, and don't mix with them! It's really as simple as that!

I think that HELLSPAWN did a good job at making a simple mod appeal to a rather large audience, and if you all could see through the fact that he may have taken monoman's mod, or that this audience consists of what you may think of as "noobs," then you may think the same.

You're all acting like a bunch of children, you know? So stop picking on him! Although it's the internet, things you say can be very hurtful to people!

Oh come on... Thank you Deox. I think Hellspawn is cool, but judging from thisthe people who play hellgulch possibly arent.

Sword, if Hellspawn's privately spamming you, that is an entirely different story, which you have to deal with yourself. Don't try to mix that into the fact that you don't like hellgulch...Same with him "not being able to speak english." I am finding it quite easy to understand the things he says.

I will agree with you though, one one thing; hellspawn at least needs to admit that he used monoman's BG Infinity mod to make hellgulch from.

Although the infinity mod is pretty easy to make, really easy I don't know what's so hard to make it i seen alot of those kind of mods made.For instance if i make a mod similar to sword's darkgulch chances are people will make accusations that i have stolen his mod because of the key similarites like the dark fog, but I know how to make fog on my own but people will think like that.If hell did use the infinity mod then he should credit mono.

It's hell's first mod, cmon when I started modding, my first mod was full of projectile swaps and other things.It felt really great to make my very first mod.Don't u start modding at the beginning and not at the end?U can't just except people to do the advance stuff that quickly.It takes time to progress.

I respect hell for making his first mod and I know he will get better from time to time.

personaly i enjoy hellspawns mod, i think it if very fun to spray fuel rod shots out of a shotgun, and i aways name my server hellgulch if i have the mod on. so if people dont want to play than they should not join

Demon has been totally making fun of Hell Spawn (and many many other people). Look, all of you pros at modding, did you start out as a noob? YES! I am positive every single pro out there who mods started out as somebody who knew nothing about modding!! And when you were a noob, did people make fun of you? Didnt you hate it? Nobody likes to be made fun of, especially when we are talking about something that is a graudual learning process thing...

Yes, I started out as a noob. No, people didn't make fun of me, why? because I was quiet, learned stuff on my own, and waited until I actually had something before I even posted on this board.

Although, I do agree that there are alot of immature people here that just like to bring down others.

Remember the Golden Rule: Treat others as you would want to be treated. Unless they are rapist fuckwad scum. Then kill them so they may not pollute the world with their offspring.
