This tutorial will hopefully help you to skin a vehicle, vehicle etc. using another pattern (camo etc.) with a neat trick I found.

1. Open the map you wan't to skin in 'Eschaton 0.8'
2. Go to the 'Bitmaps' tab
3. Open it, then go to the weapon/vehicle or whatever you feel like skinning.
4. Find the file called example: Weapons\shotgun\bitmaps\shotgun
5. Press the 'Load' button the the right and choose 'Bitmaps.map from halo directory'
6. It will show the image it should be the pieces of the weapon all over the place in an image.
7. Click 'Export' under the image and save to desktop
8. Open the image with photoshop
9. Open a camo pattern or anything else you want to appear on the weapon. (Google has a vast selection of digital camo and patterns)
10. On the camo/pattern window choose the 'Clone Stamp Tool' and hold the 'Option' key and click on the area that you want on your weapon.
11. Now go to the shotgun window and start drawing it will be copying the camo/pattern area you chose.

=======TIP========
-Be careful, watch the crosshairs on the camo and shotgun images as the area the crosshairs for the camo is over it will print to the shotgun.

Heres a Few I made myself:

Sniper Rifle Overview:

Sniper Rifle Holding:

Melee:

I will add my shotgun when I finish it.

Zang, that tut only shows how to import/export, not a basic skinning procedure.
Mac Man, even though I know how to do this completely, it's probably best to add pics of the actual image editing.

Good tut, hopefully we can get some ok bitmaps in mods soon.

Thanks for this, you reminded me to add a template for HUD pickup weapon icons.
