I have Stuffit 11.3 or something like that. I can decompress .sitx files, but not compress them. Do I actually need to buy it instead of use the free version?

The standard version allows you to compress stuff. I didn't have to buy it when I downloaded it. It just keeps telling me to register and I keep closing the window.

Hmm, the version you are talking is (if I'm correct):
The one that requires NO credit card even for the free trial
They send you an e-mail with the download link once you give them your e-mail.

...If that is the one you're talking about then I have had no such luck trying to compress files (looked all over in the app). Mind telling where to go to do it? (I feel like a complete n00b
