The exploding shee mod was cool, but the first time I used it and got in the shee I jumped five feet in the air. Great idea though.

well, assault is slightly different in Halo then. in Halo 2, you actually have a bomb (and it says stuff on it too! like: "goodbye" and "xoxoxoxo"). there can be multiple bombs. it seems like you got the bomb assault idea from halo 2. it would be awsome if we could have an actual bomb, though.

i though of a new gametype and a new mod.
Gametype: maze
you navigate a maze of <some type of scenery>. along the way you can find weapons and powerups. if you die, however, you start over. there are some teleports and health packs. can be teams, where one team tries to get out first using tactics (like stacking) and overrunning enemies. also could be non teams, but then the players would probably keep killing each other at the starting point... to win, there are flags from both teams at the finish point. grab one and score it to win the maze challenge.

Added difficulties:
-maze includes multiple levels. (3 or 4 floors)
-there is the gravity gun (that works) in the center of a teleporting spiral (many teleporters lead to other ones it small hallways. it keeps going until u get to the grav gun. any mazes with grav guns can only have one floor so the user can get onto walls.
-slayer, where the point is to simply kill your opponents, but now its in a maze. go and find 'em
-multiple finish points. find all of them and score all the flags to win.

also, the new mod is Halo: Nuclear War Edition.
basically, every weapon goes boom or causes huge damage in one way or another... expect lots of lag.

Umm, I guess those are good ideas... But, I don't think that people are going to make you a new gametype or even think about making you one.

You know, I'm not even sure how you would go about making a new gametype... Or, even modding the slayer or CTF gametype.

The gravity gun always works, ;). Just swap it with a gun or replace a gun. Lol.

Maybe you meant to say, "A gravity gun that you can see yourself holding...etc." Lol.

hey, im making nuclear war right now. ive got one problem, why do grenades always drop out of a gun instead of shoot? i can change the begginning and final speed, but they still drop...

yeah, i know that the maze would require incredibly heavy modding... it wouldnt be easy in the Demo... it might be easier with HaloCE though. too ba its not for mac. and with the grav gun, i meant it actually does what the nam implies. when shot at the ground, objects go flying. just like the grav gun from the Covie vs. Human mod. not the annoying flamethrower... would be cool to see it too.

You would need to change the float I beleive. I'm not sure how to go about doing so, But, that is what I was told needed to be edited.

never mind on the sniper thing. it was some random mistake (i forgot to hit enter, thus not changing the number :roll: ). nuclear war edition is not wuite nuclear war. more like super pumped weapons. (with a few bugs). all the stuff is really easy and not advanced. basically, heres the list:

*=finished and tested
+=partially complete and tested
/=finished but wont work (will fix it)

* rocket - homing

/ scorpian - faster, fires 3 shots at once

* shotgun - fires 30 plasma bolts

+ pistol - x2 zoom, x8 zoom, higher fire rate

* gravity gun - trying to remake A Bunny's sword, didnt work. now i have a high firing rate plasma cannon (only works at close range)

* sniper - shoots plasma grenades (as a extra, they fire at light speed and if you miss, the dont explode. they dissapear. will stick to vehichles and players only)

/ assault rifle - fires frag grenades (only works in closed areas, shoots at super speed, meaning grenades go eveywhere... and dont explode)

+ banshee - faster (i know, "faster?" you say? its to counteract the homing rocket)

/ flamethrower - flames go infinitly (i think i set the life span too high. with rockets, if the homing is too high, they shoot backwards... wierd)

/ fuel rod - fires four shots

* plasma grenade - sniper shots

* frag grenade - fires one hit kill AR shots

thats it. anybody got suggestions, improvements, etc.? i would like some. i know this mod can b better. i just thought these up in about 3 minuts, then did it in an hour.

If its a nuclear war you need a nuke. All you really have is a bunch of powerful weapons. Make some weapon shoot nukes which are something... well its your mod, you decide. But to me it seams... pretty good.

This wouldn't be the best as a separate gametype, but it was something I was thinking about doing as a mod...

well, thats what i said before. its not nuclear war edition, its suoped up weapons. also, you were really thinking about making a maze arena? i think you should. people would worship you for something like that.

PS. ill get a working on the nuke part. its just that it seriously imbalences the game. whoever gets it first could wipe out the entire base, grab it again, and again... it should either be the rocket launcher or feul rod. it would also be one shot, and have to be in the middle or at each base. ill work on it. also, this may be my last post for a while because ill be doing lots of traveling this summer.

i changed the fuel rod so that it fires a shot at an arc that is three times as steep as the previous. it also has a huge blast radius (imagine standing on the spot where the fuel rod spawns and shooting the cliff. then dying) and a one hit kill if you are in the radius. i think that you can only survive with an oversheild, but my initial damage was 150, which took you down to 1 health bar. now its 250, so i dont know if the overseild would do anything. i want to make it fire 5 shots at once, but it wont... also, i want to try to make a bigger blast. anybody know how to do that? ill also change the shotgun so it fires more projectiles. (about 50 or 60. now thats devestating, even if they are only plasma bolts)

More weapon ideas:
-pick something up and it allows you to fly. (i think i might be able to do this. unless im completely wrong)
-guided projectiles. like the Redeemer from UT2004. (same as above)
-more to come

EDIT: tried what i thought would work, but it didnt. (big surprise)

Hmm... Alright. I don't know where I would find the meta of the amount of ammo... But, that's good to hear you can use HexEdit to do that... :D
