i dont think he meant IP Sniffer, the app... i think he meant IP Sniffer, as in type of networking app, not necessarily a specific one...
and theres several mac ip sniffers out there.
and if your not hosting, then you cant get their ip from sniffing, only the servers'.
and yes, you can use yummys banner if your hosting.

yummy you have to run the universal version of The Cheat as Root admin to hack XD that means sudo open The Cheat`Yummy wrote:How weird is that... I'm on an Intel Mac 10.5 but yet this program doesn't support Intel or 10.5, both being the latest pieces of software/hardware.

Main said you should be running as root on hdev. Most processes aren't run as root even if you're the computer administrator and only user. Quick check of your power level:
Open up terminal. Type whoami. If it returns anything except "root" normal programs do not run as the root user. Btw, sudo whoami will return "root".
I believe the command to run an app as root is sudo open <application path>.
I'm not sure whether root will solve the problem though. AFAIK, the commands to talk to the kernel, get and edit processes were disabled as of 10.5 (the commands sword's wrapper and thecheat! use). Perhaps merely disabled for non-root processes.

K, i gotcha. Makes sense. When I said I tried it - I was using sudo open <application path>.Altimit01 wrote:Type whoami. If it returns anything except "root" normal programs do not run as the root user. Btw, sudo whoami will return "root".

It seems to still be failing though. Maybe that's the intel part of it. I would also mention that
Code: Select all
sudo sysctl -w kern.tfp.policy=1
My mom's computer is PPC, 10.5, I'll try messing around on that for a bit.
