Ok, here's a hint. Don't use inject/extract. They suck and were left in from like day 2 of 0.4's development. What it does is make a byte by byte copy of the meta (without reflexives) that you're working with. That means all the dependencies only work for that exact map, and all of the magic and such are specific to that map. Use it as backup maybe if you're messing with a tag and don't want to start over if it might exception. All of the features listed in the read me are fully functional. Inject/extract aren't in it. Use either HMT or HHK...for now mwahahahaha.

Demo hack 2.1 perhaps mehbe? There's no reason HMT and HHK shouldn't work if the header is correct.

My HHK wont work, but HMT does everything but models and rebuilds. Eschaton does whatever I need it to do to the extent of its capabilities.
Also, read the "Readme" thatcomes with Eschaton to find out how to correctly edit the map. Inject/Extract is not what you need to do. If you still cant figure it out, you may be missing a window. In that case, hit Command+E and Command+D (not all at the same time, just command and letter). That will open up the Dependancy swapper and meta editor. From there, use tutorials with the meta editor.

Don't press cmd-d unless you have selected a tag. It defaults to have the scnr tag selected. The d-swapper isn't effecient at all and will lag horribly if you try to load the scnr or the sbsp tags.
