Re: Full or not
Nice point about it being splattered all over Halomaps, but please don't upload any original Halo Full maps. It is better for people to GET Halo Full and then convert the maps they want using Pearl or QAR... or Zeus. But to actually publish the original maps for other players is not a nice idea... yet. We like to maintain a modicum of legality where we can, and are not responsible for other people's actions.
But if you upload these maps to HDM at this point, they will be deleted. I added that "original maps" section to the Full Mod Database so that when the time is appropriate - if ever - we can add them. But at this point, we need to restrict access to those who own the game.
"The right time" in my mind is when there are no longer ANY copies of Halo Full for sale at any legitimate location - or when the lowest price goes above the cost of an Xbox 360 and Halo: ODST combined, at which point we can surely say it is "vintage". But these are my conceptions, and not even quasi-legal.
So while Bungie, Gearbox and Microsoft won't be losing any money either way (since Halo for Mac and license keys are no longer for sale, and there is no longer reliable support), we'd still be nipping in the butt all those resellers who want to sell the game.
My view is that since modders are acceptable to Bungie - as proven by the publication and widespread use of Forge, Halo CE and the HEK - then modders are outside the legal boundaries. But we modders have an obligation to make sure that players remain inside the legal boundaries, until they want to become modders. But you don't buy Halo Full to mod it - you buy it to play it.
Yet they still won't have the application, will they? But they can convert to Demo...

ok then. i really never thought of it that way. well i think you should put that tut on how to get the maps from the halo PC cd on a mac. if you dont know it go into the halo PC disk, CAB, copy the files and extract them. yay. and legality for all.
