Although I do agree it is simple, A remake although I have no time, would be good. Zealot can do it, just send it to me when your done, since I have the new protection method, I'll protect it since I doubt modzy wants me to pass it around.

My main focus was the multiplayer, which is indeed the highlight of the mod, I've seen about 4 servers by itself...lead usually by Amy, Hostbot or other members.

For some reason, when i press legendary on campaign, it crashes, but if i press "continue" it works!

Plus multiplayer and a bit of campaign very laggy for my comp. Sigh.

better then none i suppose...hmm I don't see why it would lag too bad...I mean, the recon is just a mod2 swap, i didn't bother with an entire bipd, because that would be too laggy, same for the weapons, all mod2 swaps and animation swaps...all the bullets are demo edits..more or less, except the carbine, br and plasma rifle...hmm

course...connection is an issue...dunno.

Yeeaaa... The whole only Legendary thing was a bit glitchy. :/ I'm pretty sure it goes to legendary though, but there's really no way to make sure.

REVIEW:


Single Player
Hud: Hud was okay, the visor was slightly annoying, and the big red flashing lights were a nuisance (or whatever its spelled)
AI: i don't know if it was just me, but it was like playing on normal >_> Toughen up the AI a bit more
Weapons: The weapons were amazing, but lacked variety. I mostly just stuck with one weapon. Maybe some more weapons would be better. Also, in campaign the Needler and Plasma Rifle had the wrong reticles. Also, maybe letting us use the EnergySword in campaign would be better.
Vehicles: I only tried out Mongoose and Warthog and Banshee. Mongoose tipped over WAY to much, and caused much FPS eating. Warthog and Banshee seemed like they had NO modding at all, just new skins
Lightmaps: it was a wee bit on the dark side in SP, and in MP it was impossible to see someone with camo...
Grenades: I know that Halo 3 had 2 grenade limit, but that was because they had 4 different types of grenades. I suggest putting it back to 4, because the mod doesn't have the other two.
Gameplay: Like i said before, more weapons and higher grenade limit would be better.

Overall it was a VERY fun mod, and a lot of good work went into it.

No, it's a multiplayer exclusive weapon, otherwise, people will just use the infinite ammo as a way to run through the mod, which would suck.

Also, that was the point, of the camo, Recon, hidden. You can use it to your advantage to turn the tides of the fight. There are two camos anyway. one at the rocks, and one in the cave.

The warthog and banshee were not modded. If they were, I would have mentioned that. They are just new skins.

also, if you gonna do a review, please only mention what hasn't been. Otherwise, you're just repeating info i already know and it's kinda pointless.

BR scope has a darker stripe to it.
BR is to strong and to accurate. 3 Body shots... seriously?
AR needs to be more accurate
One base spawns SMG, the other spawns AR.
Carbine to strong.
Pistol to strong. Still HaloCE damage.
Energy Sword's reticule get red before your aloud to lunge.
Spartan Lasers pause between shots is to short.
No nades = Red thing, no Ammo = Flashing red thing. Both annoying.
Mongoose flips to much, and to fast.
No one rides backseat of Mongoose in b30
No reload sounds for Shotgun and Sniper

What happened to:

I think it's kinda lame, how back in the day, when someone would release a mod, people would be enthused, and play it, and enjoy it, and if there was a bug, perhaps offer a suggestion to fix it.

Nowadays, people release mods, people try it once, come back, complain about everything they don't like about it, and tell the modder how they think it should be instead.

Granted, I do understand that the modder should create the mod in the players' best interest, but wtf is wrong with people today, and their lack of appreciation for things that someone(s) created for you, quit complaining, and go play the goddamn map. If you don't like it, go make your own.

Description:
Okay, I am sure it comes as no surprise to alot of you that I find it weird that people still mod the trial game when the full game can, in all honesty, be found in any game bargin bin these days.

I still love the game. I am just pointing out how easy it is to get.

That said, I am very impressed with this mod. And its not because it takes the trial and makes it about a million times more awesome (we can haz moar awsum lols?).

Its because that to mod the trial to this extent, means to produce something that you are really proud of, reflecting well towards the downloaders. And I really admire that.

I'll just give you a basic run down for now but when I have a better review, I'll add it.

To sum it up:
You get Recon in the Silent Cartographer level. And not just Recon. There is a whole lot of changes. For example: a more dynamic looking sky texture with a planet in the background. Kinda looks like Mars. Very easy on the eyes.

You also get the Mongoose as a driveable vehicle. Yeah, it is a tiny bit bigger than it's Halo 3 counterpart but you are not going to notice that when you are getting loads of 'Mongoose Mowdowns (bleep-bloop!)' in Silent Cartographer.

One more thing, Blood Gulch is practically gone. What is in its place, is Coagulation with new textures and the sky texture that I mentioned earlier.

I hope to see this as a full conversion for Halo PC one day. It definitely deserves that chance to expand beyond the trial.

It's a long download though so while it is doing that, take the chance to practice Legendary mode, seeing as how you cannot change the difficulty of this mod. (I love a challenge big grin )

That's by a Windows user. This mod was for Mac and how pathetic does it make you lot look, to have something made for you, only to toss it aside because it's not perfect. So it's not EXACTLY like h3, that wasn't a purpose of the mod, sure, it's similar, but is it called Cryosis v2 H3 EDITION? No. We wanted an H3 feel, that's it.

Windows people may rip content, but guess what? At least Windows users have enough respect to know when people have worked hard.

Is not a review, it's a trolling insult to how hard my team worked. They worked hard for you ungrateful kids and this, arrogance is annoying.

You want something exactly like halo 3? Go play the game and get out of modding. Those of us who mod aren't here to feed you mods you have no skill in making, but for our own enjoyment and the urge to expand gameplay.

Despite you all bitching now and again how Mac is better then windows and such, at least those users know how to respect some work. Good day.
