When u use the RvS map installer does it install the maps, u know permanatly, or do u have an on/off switch for the mods like u do with GhR?

Once you install them you don't need to activate them. The maps are selectable as long as you keep them installed.

so say if i had alot of maps that were from separate mods? and imagine a mod i didn't have had maps i had already? would i need the mod still? to play? or would the maps i have already be enough to play?

None of the mods for Raven Shield include maps. The ones that need to be activated ingame are all weapon based mods.
