1) If you mean do the Pro and Elite versions come with rechargeable, the answer is no. All standard Xbox360 controllers come with AA batteries (piles).

2) The first account to sign in to Xbox LIVE from your Xbox gets a free 1 month of XBL Gold. To connect to the internet on the Xbox requires a standard ethernet cable or the wireless adapter (US$70). Its fairly simple. Info for Xbox Live, connecting, account management, and lots of other stuff is here:

http://live.xbox.com/

I think they have other languages as well.

EDIT: Ahh, here we are:
http://www.xbox.com/en-US/ChangeLocale.htm

Thats to change to your country's language.

Any account you connect to Xbox LIVE with will automatically have "Silver". Thats the version of Xbox Live you have, like for Macintosh Tiger is 10.4 and Leopard is 10.5. With Silver you can download demos and games, make friends, and talk and send messages to people. With "Gold" (the one you pay for) you can also play online with other people, you can participate in online scoreboards, and can download some things from the Marketplace a bit earlier or for free. Also, there are some services only given to Gold members (like Netflix, although I dont know if Netflix is international...). In other words, if you dont plan on playing online and will stick to Role-Playing Games like Fallout 3 or Oblivion, dont bother getting Gold. But most of the replay value of games is in the multiplayer, so if you plan on playing Halo 3 (and why wouldnt you?) and other games online you MUST get Gold.

xbox.com has lots more information. I suggest you find the correct language and find their Frequently Asked Questions and Membership pages so you can figure stuff out in your native language. Its usually much easier than trying to understand English (it is a terrible language in terms of consistency and ease of understanding)

Also, where do you live and what language do you speak, zanghfei?

Why else would he be getting one?

Zhangfei lives in Quebec, which for those who don't know is a province of Canada.

I am thinking of getting an Xbox as well but I need to sell my parents on it. (I would buy it myself I just need to convince them it would be a god idea)
