Well.
1: The Mark V Helmet is the helmet in Halo 1.
2: Chestplate: See 1.

The E.O.D. chestplate is completely new, Spitfire. However, now that I look at it, you are right, it really does look like the H1 armor. Now to find Mark V-like shoulders.
And yes, the Mk V helm is the Halo 1 helmet.

What is funny is that, even with probably hundreds of less polys, the Halo 1 model looks smoother than the Halo 3 models. As most people know, smooth requires polys. Just look at spheres... Lots of stuff there.

No, it looks like it. I should know. I have a gyhugic TV, and saw the H 3 one and played H 1 at the same time on my Mac, and they looked the same.

I know. But Halo 3 armor is just too blocky. Except the helmet (Mk VI). Thats too round, even though its a direct version of the Halo 2 one (which was less round, but looked the same. The armor was more round).
So it goes from Sharp Helm/ Smooth Armor > Smooth Armor / Smooth Helm > Sharp Armor/Smooth Helm
How strange.

Also, with the release of Halo: Recon comes Recon Armor for everyone!!! Those 0G Vidmaster Achievements are part of the first step in getting them. Of course, when anyone can get Recon without the strict Bungie policy, it kinda looses its allure. But it still is awesome.
