Screen Spanning Doctor...is it comp-safe?

Post by SiP » Mon Feb 28, 2005 9:57 pm

Yesterday, when I was hosting a GhR game on GR, I had activated a number of mods as usually. And, as usually, there were those whom did not have the needed mods. However, one player who joined (and didn't have the mods) somehow was able to remain connected to my voice chat channel while he surfed the net to acquire the needed mods all the while using only one computer to participate in both tasks. Later, he told me this is the application that allows for such an operation:

Does anyone else have any first-hand experience with this app?
Yah sure ya betcha!!

I noticed a list of supported machines here.

Looks interesting.... I'm thinking of DL'n and checkin it out.

BTW - There's another way to talk (on premium vox) and not be "in-game". Don't put the game CD in and join the room. The prompt to put the CD in will come up and you can still converse with the other premium users. =)

While in this state of partial/incomplete joining of the server is one able to both converse and perform other activities such as using a web browser or other applications?
