It all just depends on your style, rock band is for parties and if you have friends over often and if you like to play multiplayer. Guitar Hero is more of a guitar shredding game which is more of just a play-by-yourself game (even though it does have multiplayer). And I have both so I know what i'm talking about.

When Guitar Hero World Tour is released, Guitar Hero is waaay better than Rock Band. But Harmonix might do like a... Rock Band 2... O.O
