Every free MMORPG is utter crap sans anime korean ones but those are usually PC only. ATITD is free-ish but it's not your typical MMORPG. There's always places like SL, There and such but that's not really RPG-ish. If you don't care about graphics you could get into some MUDs. Any of the Iron Realms ones would probably do pretty well. It all depends what you're looking for but free + MMO usually doesn't work out that well.

WoW is good but then fun goes away around level 35, then u get it back for about a month at level 40 and then unless u can survive about another 10 months of constant killing your gonna get extremely bored, so, depending on how fast you level, the fun will last for about 3-8 months i believe

Tribalwars is just one of those spreadsheet games with a decent GUI. I'd be surprised if there were that many MMORPGs that used a non-subscription based model. Most are either free or subscription (exception GW). I find a lot of free ones to be lacking in polish (MUDs are usually decent and I know the guy who does the 4 Iron Realms ones is a very respected).

It's kind of the definition of a MUD. Although technically any MMORPG that involves dungeons fulfills the literal expansion of the acronym. They're not bad once you get used to them.

Re: MMORPGs
just buy a leopard install disk from the apple store (if you have $120)a cigarr wrote:anyone know of any free MMORPGs (preferably a sword and sorcery one) excluding runscape and eternal lands

install bootcamp (but you need windows xp install disc)
Then you have to go through all this crap to install it and then you have to install windows drivers from the leopard disc and maybe mac drivers if you have them (to eject discs and not have the sound blowing your speakers up at startup) But it all works fine for me. Playin' counter strike a lot now
let me know if you need any help
