a while back someone mentioned something about the OICW being dead and this gun was to replace this.

It is lighter, cheaper, more reliable,.......

lol, i really doubt it's gonna be much cheaper after reading all it's 'pros' and seeing it having no 'cons'

lighter? yeah when u take all the add-ons off the gun maybe

Somethings just seem too good to be true yeh know? :O well im not saying the gun won't exist and won't kick all the other guns' arses, but there's always a bad side to something that is yet to be found out

pie- when u say 'real' cartridge, i assume u mean 7.62? ^.^ well i think US has decided to default to 5.56 because of it's lighter, i think it's the only possibility why they chose it over the 7.62. The 7.62 out performs the current 5.56 in every aspect, especially it's penetration factor

heh i guess all this XM8 gun is missing is the all-purpose electronic sight that had on the OICW had

then maybe some.. microscopic built-in aimbots, heh.. then THAT will be totally pwn4g3 "h4x0r ü83r"

I think thats the main weapon in Ghost Recon 2.

The XM8 will be featured in the new Alpha Squad Mod that is gonna release for Ghost Recon soon (within a week or so).

Can't wait to shoot some virtual rounds with it.
