I believe that us north americans should hijack this thread and talk about what 2010 has brought us.

Um, BS? Unless
1) Your referring to the Gregorian calender New Year because one of my best friends is Chinese and she celebrates New Year (Chinese) around late January to mid February... I think.
2) Your a non-Asian person in China.
3) Your lying about your location.
4) ...Your a CYBORG like Alt... O_O

Na, we will leave that for the Al-Qaeda or Taliban. OK, joking aside (NEVER), we North Americans SHOULD do this...

*Cue cheezy Flashback scene*

*Not that direction, this way*

I fail to see how you could have seen all those possibilities.
He said "Here from China, we celebrate new year... now."
The word "from" implies he is "in" China now. Don't forget the timezones.

I really don't understand how you can say "You're a non-Asian person in China", because he is an Asian. How do I know? I know him in real life, we used to be in the same school.

His location says "Guess." It means he wants you to guess. How can you lie about that...seriously.

No. As stated before, I know him in real life.

Also, just to clear things up, Chinese New Year ≠ New Year. Chinese New Year follows a different calender, and happens from late January to February (it varies every year). Chinese celebrate Chinese New Year. Our race is Chinese. But that doesn't mean we cannot celebrate New Year, correct? Its a different thing.

Please don't call BS without your facts. Thank you. My facts may not be completely accurate, and I could have misinterpreted your implications in your statement, so please do not start a debate/argument. If any facts were misunderstood, I apologize in advance.

@Mota, Glad to hear it.

As much as I despise most of the active members on this site at the moment, happy new years to everyone nonetheless. I'm going to collapse into bed now...

Yeah, I was mentioning the fact that traditionally New Year is not celebrated by the Chinese and the vagueness of his post. And yes, you can be non-Asian in China especially with China's current rise in the world.
