XD aw, sorry man! It's that hating windows is just pointless! If you do, you're doing exactly like them windows users!

have you ever been on a forum such halomaps.org? if you try to say you're a mac there you won't have a response to your topic that isn't "MAC SUXX NIGGA BALLS" :-\ i'd not like that to happen here too! (if a win user comes for advice or anything)

i mean. o_o i don't hate you or anything! it's this kind of topic that sucks! XD

Windows 7 is what Windows Vista should have been. Vista was fucking pathetic. Windows 7 actually surprised me a little bit. With their SP1 beta out, it's actually become a pretty decent OS. Sure the user interface isn't quite as intuitive as say snow-leopard.. But the amount of user-frustration has decreased immensely since vista.

Yes you can emulate it on parallels, as far as applications, it depends on whether you get the 32bit or 64bit version of 7. Some 32bit applications that worked in XP, won't work correctly in 7. But for the majority, I've never had a problem with compatibility yet. Everything's been pretty smooth so far. I would suggest upgrading to windows 7, if you can afford it. It's definitely a huge step in front of xp and vista combined. Although, it's still windows, so you're bound to have a few unexplained quirks every now and then. As far as side effects.. There aren't any that stand out that I've had any significant trouble with.

I've never used an antivirus software on my computers, and I've been running XP for years, and been dual booting with win7 for about 6 months or so. 99% of virus's infect computers because of stupid users. I've only caught one virus, and that was in 2007. Which I caught because of an infected .PDF on a flash drive that my dad decided to stick into my computer to transfer some files.

Can we stop beating on POA for a while? Seems like he's been getting a rough run around lately.

*que light comical music playing in the background*

well, according to my measurements, mr Pillar of Autumn, or currently 'Haruhi Suzumiya' if you will, has had an increasing amount of flame since the time he and/or she joined MGM. If you'd look at the graph below:

Image

Research shows that the name 'Haruhi Suzumiya' and the anime avatar has indeed negatively impacted the way he and/or she is treated on MGM.
Therefor I think it is only appropriate if we conclude that he and/or she should not continue to go by his and/or her current username.

Also, in sync with the graph, it also shows that one word responses have also increased along with the days he and/or she's been on MGM.

Conclusion: PoA should change username, avatar, and decease the amount of one word / sentence responses in order to keep down the flames.
