Tremulous (Or Termulous, I can't remember).
Download it on Apple, The gameplay is unique and you can have up to 32 players in any server.
You basically Build your base, including respawn points, armorys (Humans) and an overly extensive amount of traps and defenders for the aliens. Then, you try to destroy the enemy's base by evolving into gigantic poisonous brutes (Aliens) or Buying weapons and armor in the armory (humans).

Fallen Empire Legions This is an interesting, dynamic FPS played in ones browser, you are able to mod this game.

Oh yeah, looks like they have a modding community.
Probably won't end up as a subforum here, considering it's really player created content.

Best FPS i ever played was..... Halo series, Left 4 dead (Original) and Cod4.
