I hope you all realize we here in Western Mass weren't supposed to get snowy weather until like late to mid november, and should not have had nearly as much snow as we did. Power lines down, car accidents, tons of crazy shit like that. Not fun. Not fun at all. We're in a state of emergency for the second time in three months.

It was bad enough that my parents were stuck in the same exact spot in traffic, around 2-3 miles outside of town, for over an hour, with a car accident ahead of them which they could not see, and when they finally decided that it would be stupid to attempt to continue on through the snow to reach me to pick me up (the restaurant I work at being a half-hour away) they still took almost another hour to get home, home being 5 miles at the most from where they were.
Many towns in the area are still out of power. One person I talked to said she was told it would take two weeks before her house would have power again.
