the only *virus* i've seen so far for mac, was written by tyler's team of hackers >.>

but security is good, like what to do in case you vecome infected and such, and other security tips and tricks

The only things that can affect macs are user ignorance. The trojan that supposedly involves "tyler's team of hackers" only works if you do something dumb. All of the vulnerabilities are based on the user entering commands they shouldn't (like telling your computer to delete the top most folder and all sub folders and files without reporting what is being destroyed). It all comes down to smart users.

I almost fell for it, when mr mods gave it to me saying it was ppc only, and that i should see if it worked. Then he told me tyler gave it to him, and so i went in and analyzed it, turns out, that it downloads dozens upon dozens of files from ftp.t35.com, and continues to download files from there upon login. then it calls up like 300 processes a minute which just keeps duplicating, or something like that (its been awhile since i last looked at it) and also gives them access to your hard drive and its contents.

remember that this is MAC GAMING MODS; so everything must regard at least MAC and GAMING.

Personally i think we dont really need a new board now. Maybe we should just save this precious chance (if we can) and wait until something we really need that most people agree on. I mean Halo section has the halo demo stuff.. general discussion has other stuff, and so far the stuff in GD isnt mostly about the same stuff.
