I've created something similar before, but never put it in an app. The next version of Pearl will have an updater, a bit like this one, for updating so I can crank out fixes, better than having people go to the forum.

exactly. i was sick of dealing with constantly updating at download.com, softpedia, etc., this is a much better way to go.
