How to make you PC gaming friends use GameRanger!

Post by [BIG] Ranger » Mon Nov 02, 2009 3:14 pm

My clan-mates and I just bought 'Borderlands' on STEAM - and we were having trouble connecting using P2P hosting. Looking the issue up online we found the solution was to download and install good old Game Ranger! :)

This was all very new for my PC gaming friends, but I was over the moon to get back into using GR (I made a big point about telling my mates that this was originally a Mac 'thang')!

Anyway - Borderlands is cool - nice 4 person co-op mode. Thing of it as a multiplayer Fallout 3 and you get the idea...

This game needs to be on a Mac - as graphically it is one of the coolest looking games I've played for a VERY long time. It's cell-shaded, cartoony looking.

My friends were very impressed with GameRanger and I'm glad to say that it worked very well - so much so that we are meeting up in GR again on Wednesday to continue our co-op Boarderlands game.

....I feel quite smug! Hee hee

The game Demigod was also used P2P for multiplayer and had tons of problems. Players using GameRanger with the game had no problems with it. At one point the developer of Demigod was telling people to use GameRanger for multiplayer until they could get patch out to fix some problems. It is these types of games that bring alot of new users to GameRanger.
