Incorrect, it is possible to jog to the moon.Tyler777 wrote:1. WOW Your really a noob and have no idea......Slappey wrote:i'm not sure, cause i dont understand him, but i think he might mean, to have it automatically internalize bitmaps as you add tags.G[v]N wrote: Does that mean, in other words, a bitmap internalizer?
but hey, what do i know.
Live importation is kinda unrealistic, think it through tyler, you gonna be playing a game, and import say a weapon, and spawn it all in the middle of a match? suddenly all the pistol and AR's are now battle rifles and brute spikers. without even reloading the map.... now thats just wierd.
2 your instant tag iMporting, i'm sure would be pretty hard to get perfected,
3, the ability to add CE tags without putting them into a map, to convert, would encourage CE importing.... why not make your own?
But hey, what do i know O_o
I think i'll go read a book or something...
Keep it up sword!
yes its possible and wny the fuck would u add it and replace a weapon in the map? when u can just place it with sword edit <_< and its totally possible to inport while playing games nothing but jogging to the moon is inpossible.
2. i am sure sword could perfect it.....
3. your a fucking idiot....this is supose to be like sapien do u even know what that is? and being able to inoprt tags on a fly using CE tags would make it go better with conures hek <_< witch is encoraging custom maps on mac making custom maps on mac...... this isnt just for dmeo u know?

unless you somehow figured out how to do live imports using memory edits which is very doubtful.Kayar wrote:Live importation can't work, because it would require a way of reloading the map for everyone in the server at the same time, DURING the game. Restarting does not reload the map. During gameplay, the map can't be reloaded because obviously that would require stopping gameplay.
Some of the stuff in Halo isn't that far off . I mean, the method of flood infection probably would leave the body unable to move (they're dead), though you can argue that there are biologically feasible ways to make something move after its dead (ie self digestion for energy).1. Halo itself is "unrealistic". Shaw-Fujikawa Slipspace Drives..super-soldiers..intergalactic wars..The Flood..why should I repeat this o.<
The super-soldiers are something that the army is looking into already. There are powered-suits in development now, things that can increase your strength and stamina. At least that aspect of super-soldiers is currently real.
I think I got really bored one night and read up on the story of Halo and started to read about Shaw-Fujikawa Slipspace. Something about using miniature black holes to slip into other dimensions. Yeah, thats more farfetched than some things in Halo, but you could argue that it is possible. General Relativity allows for the outcome of wormholes, while M-Theory allows for multiple dimensions (though I don't really like M-Theory).
Now that my social skills have taken a nice blow, let me go onto talking about swordedit.
The first release will be a slightly advanced version of Sparkedit for PC. I currently have all of the features of Sparkedit PC working and am debugging each of them to ensure that there will be as few problems as possible when you are working with maps.
The second release, most likely, will include better object selection, more advanced rendering, the ability to select rendering levels (a-lah Halo's opening menu), bsp-based object placing (ray-plane intersection), actual spawn creation, and hopefully the beginnings of a map scripter. See, if I were to try and put all of this into release 1 then we'd be here for a while.

There'll probably be more releases after that, maybe some in between, and of course new features will be added or removed as I go.
I can also say that I'm going to make this app open source once the code is properly cleaned up and the framework robust enough.
EDIT: Oh, yeah, I forgot to say that I'm going to throw in live scenario modding somewhere in those releases. It'll probably be really quirky, so yeah.
The sword.
